Electrical inspection test (EI Test) standard operating procedure (SOP)

 

Procedure

1. The Electrical Officer visit the entire factory along with the electrician to identify issues related to compliance policies.

2. Always disconnect the power supply before making any repairs or adjustments.

3. Avoid touching all electrical wires connected to the power supply.

4. Turn OFF the circuit breaker and place all wires and other equipment in the proper place before working on any fault.

                                          Note: Correction during equipment change

Distribution Board:

1. The distribution board should have a Load Capacity Information Sheet/Over Current Devices (OCD) Tag.

2. There should be no signs of burns due to overload inside the distribution board.

3. There should be no multi-looping inside the distribution board.

4. The distribution board is provided with first aid and instructional board.

Fences and cables:

1. If there is any sign of cracks or breakage on the fans or any part of the cables, replace it as soon as possible.

2. Check if the fan, switches are working properly, if not; replace them.

Tube light:

1. Check the lighting in the workplace to see if it is OK, and then make arrangements to maintain the light level on the working plan (Tables, Chairs etc.) in case of any issue.

2. Make arrangements to protect work stations from the shadows.

3. If the amount of LUX is low, replace the tube lights or add more tube lights to meet the specified LUX.

Cleaning:

1. All distribution boards, lights, fans, switch boards and channels must be cleaned.

2. Use the ladder to work on higher ground.

3. Lights must be cleaned as unclean rods reduce LUX which affects the performance of the lights.
